Preamble:
The health field was a mainstay of the liberation revolution, and health men, doctors and nurses played a great role in the revolutionary march in saving the lives of many mujahideen, defying the difficulties of the road from the lack of medical equipment, lack of medicines and the ferocity of the enemy, and Dr. Abdelkader Mahad represented a rare model for doctors in Guelfa and the Sixth Province through his great efforts to provide what the liberation revolution needs in the second region of nursing supplies and conduct urgent field surgeries, and his medical activity extended to the Fifth Province.
The sixth province suffered in many of its areas from the weakness of the health sector and the difficulty of securing hospital centers for the Liberation Army due to the nature of its barren land and the vastness of its desert area, and its natural centers are almost counted on the fingers at a time when the French enemy used destructive weapons that are difficult to deal with the injuries of the Mujahideen, especially the result of incendiary bombs and napalm bombs.) The doctor and nurse were defying the impossible and performing surgeries without anesthesia and in centers lacking the simplest means of medical care…
